Real Estate AgentWith over fifteen years of experience in property management, Burnett has been instrumental in the development of Single Family homes. Burnett, also earned a license in the state of Illinois, to serve as a Loan Officer. She is excited to be able to offer comprehensive real estate services to potential clients.
Burnett currently serves as the Deputy Chief of General Services for the Chicago Housing Authority and is responsible for facilities, fleet, and Commercial Lease oversight. Burnett interacts with vendors and Not-for-Profit organizations, doing business with the agency, or seeking to establish a business relationship.
Prior to her role with CHA, Burnett served as Chief Deputy Recorder for the Cook County Recorder of Deeds Office. From 1998 to 2012 Burnett was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the nation’s second-largest Recorder’s Offices, in the nation.
In her prior roles, Burnett provided committee oversight for the construction of the new Cook County Hospital. Burnett also served simultaneously as a Commissioner of the Cook County Forest Preserve District.
Burnett has an extensive background in State and County Government, including serving as Director of Public Relations for a city alderman. In her many roles with the government, Burnett has developed a unique skill set on how to address constituent services, negotiate community benefits agreements, And resolve community issues.
As a volunteer, Burnett served as Treasurer for various campaigns, from (1999 to 2017). Burnett was appointed Treasurer for First Baptist Congregational Church. She served on the Advisory Board for Deborah’s Place, Union Park, and as a member of the 13th District Police Domestic Violence Sub Committee, where she was honored, for her participation.
Burnett earned a Master of Arts Degree in Psychology from National Louis University, (2004) and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications from Illinois State University (1985). She graduated from John Marshall High School with honors. Burnett is licensed by the state of Illinois, to conduct real estate transactions that include leasing and sales.
