Myra Nimchaiyong’s journey into real estate is deeply rooted in the values instilled by her family, who immigrated from Thailand to Chicago in pursuit of economic and educational opportunity. Growing up in this vibrant city, she developed an early belief that true freedom of both mind and body comes through education and service to others.
With over two decades of experience in the industry, Myra serves as the Director of Commercial Real Estate at Century 21 SGR, where she has built and leads a commercial division of professionals specializing in sales, leasing, redevelopment, and adaptive reuse projects throughout the Chicago area. She continues to represent commercial real estate owners and investors in retail, entertainment, mixed-use, development, and adaptive reuse properties, providing comprehensive expertise in sales, landlord/tenant representation, and acquisitions. Her strategic, analytical approach includes evaluating cash-on-cash returns, internal rates of return, and neighborhood growth trends to identify lucrative investment opportunities, ensuring her clients make informed, confident decisions.
With a diverse skill set spanning both residential and commercial real estate, Myra represents developers, business owners, and investors. Myra earned her education from UIC’s Liautaud Graduate School of Business, specializing in Urban Real Estate and Land Economics, deepening her understanding of property investment, valuation, and the economic forces that shape cities. Her analytical background and professional experience allow her to bridge the gap between market data and human connection, balancing financial insight with empathy and purpose.
As the Immediate Past President of the Northern Illinois Commercial Association of REALTORS® (NICAR), Myra continues to champion the organization’s mission to strengthen professionalism, expand statewide collaboration, and create opportunities for commercial practitioners. During her presidency, NICAR completed its 2025–2027 Strategic Plan, expanded partnerships with REALTOR® associations across Illinois, and revitalized member engagement through innovative programming, site tours, and educational initiatives.
In 2025, Myra’s leadership and accomplishments were recognized with the Chicago Association of REALTORS® CommercialForum Achievement Award and BISNOW’s Women Leading Real Estate honor, reflecting her influence and dedication to elevating others within the industry.
